I’m Darasimi Kola-Ilesanmi, a PhD student in Gastrointestinal Sciences at the University of Calgary, supervised by Dr. Simon Hirota. My research uses human intestinal organoids to model fistula-associated epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition in Crohn’s disease, with the goal of understanding how epithelial plasticity contributes to fistula formation.
